Unfortunately, DownDetector cannot be used to track ChatGPT’s status. Therefore, users flocked to X to report the service outage, which is how I discovered it was down. Neither the web nor app versions of ChatGPT were functioning for me. On the web, I repeatedly encountered a white screen that failed to load. Meanwhile, the mobile app’s chatbot informed me that “The server is having problems. Please try again later. (88e671096c8d47ca-BOM).”

At 6:21 PM, the ChatGPT app resumed functioning, bringing relief that its outage was not as significant as Microsoft’s.
